Tap Project

Beginning as a grassroots volunteer program in 2007, the UNICEF Tap Project evolved into a successful and innovative campaign that used a mobile app to save lives by providing children with clean water. In the span of a decade, the UNICEF Tap Project:

  • Directly benefited more than half a million people.
  • Raised over $6 million.
  • Supported UNICEF water, sanitation and hygiene programs in 12 countries.

With deepest gratitude to all those who made the campaign a decade-long success, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF retired the UNICEF Tap Project campaign at the close of World Water Month 2016.

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF continues to support essential UNICEF programs providing clean water and adequate sanitation to children around the world. You can help by donating; volunteering and advocating to support UNICEF’s work for children.
